couple things about this guy right here...this is a dance party in my neighborhood that happens every two weeks where the djs play their awesome collection of funk & soul 45s. the New Yorker just did an interview of the main guy, Andy Noble, about his record collection. http://www.newyorker.com/talk/2010/06/14/100614ta_talk_greenman . the image itself is like an exploded cmyk funk monster that had a blurry photo of the dance party inside of him...you can see someone's face in the black on the upper left. PALOMA: i'm a gona hump on you the next time i see ya there. GENTLY...with my eyes. also, all the ones that were put up have been taken down, i have like 5 left and i think i'm gona have to wheatpaste em. after printing i realized that the type reminded me of some early 90s design and then figured out that i had been going through a collection of Print magazines from 1991 in my bathroom for about two weeks before putting this guy together.
This is really great. I just don't think that the image works that well for the Faint, it does for like everybody on the bill at once, but you got the faint HUGE and everybody else really tiny, and they're not really tiny bands. my 2 cents.
