The band absoultely loved the posters and wanted a bunch to take with them.
The promoter loved it too, as did the audience.

As far as Im concerned, Mission Accomplished. At the end of the day, thats the most important thing in my humblest of opinions.

They rocked a great set too.

  HEy now!

I didnt say anything bad about it.

In some ways, you were ahead of your time. Prefiguring primitivism by a few years. ;)

  Prehistoric Schmickle.

Scientists used spent toner cartridges and a bit of frog DNA, and now we can see into the magical World Of Yesteryear.

The Surfers still killed on this tour.

Because of my age and location (Omaha) I unfortunately only caught the tail end of the greats. Same thing happened with Husker Du and the Replacements.

The cool thing about that though, is that if the first Mats record you hear is Dont Tell A Soul and you love it, it only gets better going backward through their stuff.

Same thing happened to me with the Surfers.

  Wasnt this summer 93?

The BBQ-Mitzvah Tour as I recall.

It was pretty good. Hated STP.
And I was pissed that Basehead canceled as opener.

But we got Flaming Lips instead, and the world righted itself on its proper axle once more.

  Awesome!

Looks kinda like an old paperback cover.

The stencils WERE a bitch, but (quite ironically) back in the day I used to make my own screens for t-shirts and I had no room for an exposure unit, so I became like a Ninja Master with an Exacto and that Green Sta-Sharp film shit.

Made me kinda nostalgic.

  Thank you.

This is a new idea I tried out.
I printed the Green lines and Tiny text as digital offset, and the large pink and browns were stenciled and spraypainted on.

Unfortunately, time was a factor so I was only able to do that on like half of them (the rest being just normal digital offsets), but I want to refine it and try it again on a different poster.

Thanks much!
