Thanks ya'll. This is my ode to the movie Super Fly. Drawing the car was fun, took about 5 hours from drawing to final tracing and detail work in Illustrator. Sittin' on dubs baby. Whole thing probably took about 9-10 hours total.
Dale, that is a dog leash.
No "izzle" on it this time around. Tom told me it was played out.
My point is they DON'T need excuses for their text/legibilty (and sorry if I'm way off base here, but that's what the "secret show" explanation seems to be to me). Seripop does killer work. It speaks to people, creates a dialogue, and from what I've read in the past it fits the band and the fans perfectly.
I also "get" the fact that they enjoy making art. Everyone posting work here likes making posters and likes having creative freedom. And to be straight up, the majority of the bands on this site realistically DON'T need screen printed gigposters to promote their shows, much less "secret" ones.
I have to agree with Ferg on this one. Why does a secret show need a poster?
Textwise I would assume most of your work was for secret shows. Great work nonetheless but honestly I don't believe you need to defend the way you do your text to everyone all the time. Like you've kinda said before, either you're a fan of the group/s and you "get/see" it, or you don't. That being said, I'm a fan of YOUR work, but I wouldn't count on becoming a new fan of the BAND/S simply because I can't read the info.
