hmm...I understood you more when you called it "horrid" but thats ok. I don't want to drag this out, there are certainly more interesting posters to comment on, and half a zillion more worthy of being poster of the week, but since its there, I'll certainly try and explain it.
Go is a tiny club thats kind of the little brother/sister to the Cats Cradle. It gets most of the smaller stranger acts that couldn't fill the Cradle and
from what I understand, usually makes just enough to get by.
My entire purpose for these flyers is to try and get people in the door, and seeing that this is an underground-grind-metal show, I made a flyer aimed at (what I imagined) would be the target audience: Rivers Edge type stoner boys hopped up on feck weed escaping the doldrums of their divorced parents suburban living rooms through some loud "evil" noisy metal.
I also imagined theres probably a few people like me, (older tired dads) who might consider going to shows like this if only there was
a way to blend in...hmm,if only there was a way...
I mean picture even a handful of kids walking around a club wearing goofy shrunken headmasks...wouldn't that be cool?! If it happens it could be one of those great drugged up cinema moments, like being hugged by the bunny at a flaming lips show...uhh, did that happen? was there really just a bunny in a shrunken head mask telling me it was "all ok"?
As for this being a flyer made by a guy for other guys, you're right, no offense taken, (but how is that a problem?)
and yes...safety scissors and "uphill" going "down" -- its really the little things that get you through the day, (like babbling in your own comment box.)
I'm done, sincerely yours.
Tooth.
