	Hey Witt, I kind of had that image in mind a bit when I drew this...The record title "airports for light" is from a quote of John Cage when commenting on Robert Rauschenbergs white on white paintings at Black Mountain College in the 50s...I was thinking about painters and the hand-painted pop of the late 50s early 60s stuff. I think I would like to see what this would look like with the background color less contrasting, I dunno.

	Um, the residents have been playing pretty idiosyncratic music for well over 20 years, one of the members, Snakefinger died a few years back. I wouldnt call it a gimmick. Its a lifestyle.
