I can dig it. It;s one of those posters that House fonts were made for and don't stand out as House fonts.

randomized: this clip art seems to be one of the most commonly used. I've seen it at least 4 time on this site.

raindog - I have the same issuse with the poster. But lately, I've had about 2 hours to design a poster before I have to print, which is why I've been doing a lot of tow and three colors and simple designs. This, the Soledad Bros. and the Rev. Horton Heat poster (that I'm putting up now) were all done from start to finish in under 5 hours.

So, that's why the teeth are not blocked out - I forgot to do it onthe film and on the screen. And I didn't notice the stomach until I started printing. Details...

cerdo - good call. I thought it was more visually interesting without the woman. I want to do a companion poster with her as the image.

Neko Case Poster - Tin Angel, Philadelphia - Justin Hampton

I agree with scrojo. the text bugged me a bit as well. It looks like an afterthought.

With script fonts, its best to not open the leading so much so the letters can intersect (eko and ase).

And because the image is so strong, it would be nice to see the same attention given to the text. maybe mimic the texture in the grass and distort the text so it frames the woman's head better.

Isn't the Tin Angel a quite small venue? I think I saw Robyn Hitchcock there 10 years ago and remember it being quite cozy. I'd love to see Neko in such an inimate setting.
