I think this is bootyful. If it's screenprinted, then I have a new half-tone challenge ahead of me.

The residents logo is from 'fingerprince' era (1997).

The imagery looks like fingerprince eyeballs combined with the newpaper costumes from one of the videos off 'the commercial album" or maybe third reich and roll. I no longer have a laser disc player so I dunno.

Great! Someone else I need to look up.

The overlapping borders thing was inspired by some design companies business card I had years and years ago. I no longer have it but the concept stuck in my head like a bad song.

I just got back from their show her and they fucking rocked. I wasn't expecting much and they really put on a good show. And their fans love posters. I only have a handfull left.

this is the result of my new deal with (West Coast) Performer Magazine. They are promoting one show a month and I design a full page ad and do a poster.

Design was inspired by Chantry and the color theory was deeply influenced by Lonny Unitus's Pony's poster ( http://www.gigposters.com/posters.php?poster=26079 ) which he was kind enough to trade me for at SXSW.

I take the grayscale inage and pump it up to full size (12.5 x 18) at 600 dpi. Then I bitmap at 20 lpi at 45 degree angle elipse pattern. The logo is at 40 lpi.

I have gone as high as 100lpi but that was for pretty much solid lines. 40lpi is the highest I would recommend for an even spread.

Richie Goodtimes and Andy Diesel are probably much better to ask. They guided me.
