to me this drawing is expressive and that's what i tend to prize in art. i usually am bored by artists who are very slick draftsmen, there's no sense of struggle.
in a sense, if everyone here was anoymous, it'd be the great leveller. people would perhaps have to rely even more on their knowledge & verbal wit, like no one would coast cuz of rep or be ignored cuz they were obviously an unknown shit-ass. as it is, though, most people here seem rather prepared, and the top guys are quite humble.
i dont know how anonymity can affect criticism one way or the other, since criticism is about ideas. anonymity does detract from the sense of "community" however. there are some folks who are anonymous and have a highly negative hit & run critical style. anyway, i've read several novels by Anonymous and thought he or she was a decent writer.
