These guys have a great style. It's cool how they make the type box work on their stuff. I typically don't like creating an area to contain text but if you look at the series it works. This is a great illo for Dead Moon. Nice use of minimal colour too.
Don't sell yrself short BLT. A whole lot more of us "kicking ass" is because of you than you realize. Don't think I didn't figure out you were the man behind all the awesome Kleinsmith and Chantry stuff I have. I studied that stuff. The registration blows me away.
Every time I step up to the table I think about printing as good as you. So you aren't too far off base with the comments.
Babies creep me out. And all my friends with babies or kids know it so they always are giving me the "just hold it you'll see" Fuck all that. Thankfully me and my sweet old lady are in full agreement on thet kid status.
Al, I have a cat named Launchpad. He's a lard ass. You can see for yourself one day when your monkeyboy gets over the pox...
Frank I been holdin back on this one but... ya lazy jackass. With your skills you coulda easily mirrored the type style on the left to match instead of using that typewriter style hoo ha on the right. Still think it's a damn funny poster. Is that a little pucker floatin' above her shoulder in the last frame? Is she sweaty because she's thinkin' about the winkin' brown eye?
Frank sez: "we got to where we could control the area of transition down to about
1"....a lot of times we would do like 3 different colors on one screen to save time."
I started printing this a few days ago on one screen by doing just that. I had three squeegees goin' one for each split and one for the solid in the middle. The tiny text clogged and I wasn't in the mood to play screen rescue so I blew it out and went to bed.
Some days the signs say it's just not meant to print. It's best to learn that early on and save yourself plenty of headaches. On that note I'm off to print. Wish me luck!
