I wasn't in town to see the show we did that poster for but my friend went down to give them some. We like to get a couple signed versions for our collection. He handed the psoters to some manager type and was made to wait two hours. He saw Ness and asked to get the posters. Said Ness was a dick and they never gave the posters back. They can suck it.
This band kicks ass! Jermaine are you into Bright Eyes? This is Connor's other band and it rocks like "teeth like god's shoeshine" touches on the same urban sprawl type stuff Lonesome Crowded West did. Wish they were coming here.
Damn that's funny Jermaine, This was made before Jason Cross and I really started bouncing ideas off each other and before his style started heavily influencing me. This isn't what I typically do but I was having trouble coming up with any idea that would allow me to cram all these bands on one poster AND be super clean. The clean was what I set out for. All these Marine times prolly fucked everyone up and they didn't what time to show up.
Now a thermometer....that's a good idea...Race ya Seri!
Art is a huge influence on me you can see it in our Willie Nelson poster and here. I dig the challenge of taking influence and making it new. I also continuously look for new stuff to print on other than paper. Printing on vinyl was Paul's idea and he'd never seen the Mono Men piece. I had and said if we are going to do it it has to be for the right band or we are not adding anything to the original. DJ Spooky came along and was perfect. I'm glad you all caught that. And thanks again for the kind words.
