I was doing the first Hall of Flowers poster show in SF in 1992. I stayed with an old Detroit buddy who had a loft in Oakland. This poster was on an inside wall somewhere in his building and as usual silkscreens of unusually interesting quality fascinate me so I ripped it off for my collection. There are no credits, I wasn't familiar with any of the current poster artists (other than old-school Mouse, Kelley, Griffin et al) so I never knew from wence it came. Just saw it on Gigposters... now I know... thanks. It still holds a place of reverence in my stash.

Art, sorry if I've stepped on anybody's toes with this poster. Got complete clearance (with blessings) from Laurel at Future Now Films, the band... everybody. Again, my intent was not to "invade" anybodies territory... just to do a poster (with clearance) which I was commissioned to do. Oh, thanks for the nice comments. Looking forward to seeing the film... in DETROIT!

:cry:I hope you are doing well! You should post that story in the comment section
of my poster, it's very eerie, sad and funny. People might like it.
Take Care Mark,
Tara

REALLY NICE POSTER... YOU HAVE A VERY DISTINCTIVE STYLE.... IT'S NICE.
SO THIS POSTER HAS FORCED ME TO DIVULGE A STORY TO YOU. MY MOM, LIVES ABOUT 10 MILES FROM ME IS GETTING UP IN AGE SO I OFTEN GO TO HER HOUSE AND HELP HER OUT WITH THINGS. ALTHOUGH SHE IS IN HER 80'S SHE'S STILL HEALTHY, MOBILE AND MENTALLY ALERT. ONE OF HER SPRING/SUMMER LOVES ARE HER FLOWERS AND GARDEN. LAST YEAR, AFTER MANY YEARS OF ATTACKS BY RACOONS, RABBITS AND OTHER VEGETABLE EATING VARMINTS, TERRORIZING HER GARDEN, I BUILT A SMALL FENCE AND GATE TO KEEP THEM OUT AND HER VEGETABLES FROM BEING EATEN BY THEM BEFORE SHE EVEN HAD A CHANCE TO TASTE THEM. IT WORKED FINE LAST YEAR. ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO I WENT OVER TO ROTOTILL AND TURN UP THE SOIL SO THAT SHE COULD PLANT THINGS AS SOON AS OUR MICHIGAN WEATHER BECAME STABLE ENOUGH. NOW I'M NOT SURE IF YOU KNOW WHAT A ROTOTILLER LOOKS LIKE AND DOES BUT IT'S A MOTORIZED MACHINE USED TO LITTERALLY TEAR, BREAK UP AND GRIND THE SOIL TO A WORKABLE STATE. IT'S PRETTY POWERFUL AND CAN DO SOME PRETTY SEVERE DAMAGE. WELL JUST BEFORE FIRING IT UP AND GETTING STARTED I NOTICED THIS LITTLE TINY, CUTE AS HELL, BUNNY KIND OF COWERING IN THE CORNER OF THE GARDEN, ON THE INSIDE OF THE FENCE. THE GATE HAD BEEN OPEN ALL WINTER SO I JUST ASSUMED THAT HE HAD HOPPED IN TO LOOK AT SOME OF THE REMAINS THAT HAD STARTED GROWING FROM LAST SUMMER. THIS WAS THE ONLY WAY HE COULDV'E GOTTEN IN AS THE MESH IN THE FENCE WAS EVEN TOO SMALL FOR HIM TO SQUEEZE THROUGH. AFTER A LITTLE CHASE, I GRABBED HIM, CARRIED HIM OVER TO THIS LITTLE WOODED AREA WHERE I ASSUMED HE HAD COME FROM, LET HIM GO AND HE SLOWLY HOPPED AWAY. ANYHOW, THAT DONE, I GOT STARTED, AFTER ABOUT 5 SECONDS AND GOING ONLY ABOUT 3 FEET I SPOTTED ANOTHER ONE, OUT OF THE CORNER OF MY EYE, DART FROM BEHIND A RHUBARB PLANT AND TRY TO HOP THROUGH THE GATE. HE WAS TOO SMALL SO I STOPPED, GRABBED HIM AND SET HIM ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE AND OFF HE WENT. NOW I WANTED TO MAKE SURE THAT THERE WERE NO MORE LEFT IN THE GARDEN SO I DID A VERY THOROUGH SEARCH OF THE WHOLE AREA. IT'S NOT VERY BIG BUT I TURNED OVER EVERY ROCK, LOOKED BEHIND EVERY PLANT AND IN EVERY CORNER AND WAS 100% SURE THAT THERE WERE NO MORE RABBITS IN THE GARDEN. TARA, DO YOU KNOW WHERE RABBITS MAKE THERE HUTCHES? I ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT THEY HAD THEIR YOUNG IN WOODPILES, INSIDE TREE STUMPS, PLACES LIKE THAT. I NEVER EVER WOULDV'E THOUGHT THAT THEY BURROWED INTO HOLES IN THE GROUND AND GAVE BIRTH. I RESTARTED THE TILLER, HAD DUG IN DEEP AND GOTTEN ABOUT 5 FEET AND BEFORE I EVEN HAD A CHANCE TO REALIZE WHAT WAS HAPPENING.... BABY BUNNIES, MANGLED AND CUT IN HALF WERE FLYING THROUGH THE AIR. IT WAS LIKE A SCENE FROM SOME BIZARRO SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE SKIT THAT HAD GONE TERRIBLY AWRY. I HAD PRETTY MUCHED WIPED OUT THIS WHOLE FAMILY OF BUNNIES... 4 IN TOTAL IN SECONDS. WELL, I TOOK CARE OF THE REMAINS, LET NATURE TAKE IT'S COURSE, HAD A NIGHTMARE ABOUT IT AND CONTINUED ON..... ANYWAY, YOUR POSTER MADE ME RELIVE THAT EXPERIENCE SO I THOUGHT THAT I SHOULD SHARE IT WITH YOU..... KEEP UP THE NICE WORK.
PEACE,
MARK ARMINSKI

Unitus, thanks, but aside from this being the spelling given to me I did some interenet searching and found his name spelled both ways... more often with an E. Don't know... don't really care, but thanks.

I had about 80 of these targets. They are at least 25 years old. Not even printed by the same company any more. Yellowed with age. The type is printed on the original target. They have a very old feel to them (I guess because they actually are). Anyway, thanks for the comments.

I think ornothological studies have shown that most birds are either lez's or homos of some type. I do believe that those are scientific terms too. Lez and homo.

It's there in real fine type along the right hand edge. There were only Sunday, March 5th's in 1989, 1995 and 2006..... thank the spirits for perpetual calenders
