the cool thing about the current version of ? and the mysterians is that it's the same version it always was. the band apparently kept working together all these years and even occasionally gigged in detroit.

i was just at somebody's home and he had the original framed art for this on his wall. i can't remember who it was.
jim blanchard did this drawing for me for one of those "moe-ti-vator" magazine things to fight the old seattle poster ban (back in '94). he did the lettering, too. it was nice to have somebody do everything, so i didn't have to finish anything for them.
did you know that these color versions are second printings? the "originals" versions were b&w&red 11x17 xeroxed posters (trimmed down). when the local gigposter screenshop started (bsk, later blt, then finally patent pending), this was like the one of the first 'test poster' type things they started out trying to learn on. the color run of this was all done after the show was long over as test run to see how color silkscreening worked.
