yes, absolutley pete is a nice guy. a great talent, too. i admire his work. nobody is accusing him of anything (except not thinking this thing through very carefully, maybe).
i think the question that poster presents here is a legit question all of us have to ask ourselves. if we don't do it, we could end up looking rather foolish eventually. as long as we can discuss this stuff, it's stays a good thing.
the fact that pete is such a good guy and well-established name here makes this question all the more imperative.
again, the question. if this is a gallery art print carefully created to look like a real poster, should it rightfully be posted here on gigposers?
this is no reflection on pete at all. just a fair question many of us would like to see discussed.
well, let's assume that everything is on the up-and-up with all aspects of this. permissions were granted, none were sold illegally, it won't damage your integrity or portfolio, it has no bad reflection on this developing scene, etc. etc. etc.
even if all you say is true, this isn't a poster. it's an art print. it's a piece of gallery art that is supposed to look just like a poster.
so, should it be here on gigposters?
i think that is an entirely fair question that ought to be discussed.
