how come there aren't more pinstiping posters on this site? a-rab did a really great rolling stones tour poster back int the mid-seventies (complete with chrome lettering and everything). i used to have a copy, but i sold it off years ago. so, does anybody have that poster or any other pinstriped posters to show on gp.
it's a whole area of imagery that is pretty classic and isn't in evidence much here.
seems to me gary houston did some really great pinstriped images on gigposters, too.
warhol did a poster back in about 65 or 66 that was a ticket stub concept. but, the idea was around in design and art direction circles for generations before that. so, you actually didn't invent anything here.
but warhol's poster was really "warhol'd up" and looked more like an 'andy' than a ticket stub. so, i don't think of what you did as any sort of rip of anything. hell, i even did a ticket poster or two in my time. it's sort of like doing a playing card idea - everybody does one sooner or later. but it's HOW you do it that makes the difference, and you've done a really excellent take on the old idea. so, you've got nothing to backtrack on at all.
