mayday was the day of this show. it was written on the bust with a red marking pen. the band names were all underlined in red felt pen, also.
like i mentioned in an earlier post, this is actually by tomata du plenty (not tommy gear, like i labeled it in my book. i was deliberately misinformed by a certain person), and is the earliest classic cut-n-paste punk poster i've ever found. it's from 1976 - almost a full year before the first sex pistols gig. nyc didn't really do cut-n-paste scrappy style posters.
tomata and a guy name of gorilla rose were doing posters like this as early as 1970, but they technically weren't punk bands, but glam/theater/drag bands. by this time it was full bore punk rock. the tupperwares moved to LA and changed their name to the screamers. guys in the telepaths became the main structure for the band ministry.
