Default Adding date of show to poster submissions

i have no idea if this would be easy or not, but at some point it would be cool to be able to add the date (month day and year) to the poster submission process. then, if you decided to look at all posters by one band, you could click to sort by date, and view them in sequential order, rather than the order they were added to the site.
along with this, it would be cool if the person who submitted a poster had the power to edit the posters later, adding this info to older submissions, or maybe switching out old bad photos of posters with better examples (i'm suggesting this because most of the posters i added in 2002 were terrible digital snapshots )

yep... but also allow a group of admins to add data

not sure if you want the original poster submitter to be allowed to alter the data after the fact... it might cause people with grudges to wipe out their submissions

Well - I used to have the date on here for a year or 2 ..and barely anyone used it. I could try it again I guess if people will actually use it...

Unless every poster has dates, sorting by it would never work.

it would be very awesome to be able to include the medium of the piece, much like museums do.

I like the idea of allowing members to update thier own submissions, e.g. the jpgs.
Also, any chance of making somewhat larger jpgs?

Sorry, no and no.

You would be startled to see the amount of incorrect / non-gigposter images that are submitted. There is no way I would let users have this freedom

If the JPGs were larger, it would allow people to reproduce them much easier - that is bad. I really think it is at the optimum size right now.
