Some questions regarding the collection part
1. It will need to have an option for a 'private' setting... in other words not open to the public. Nothing worse thatn having to deal with 500 obsessive freaks who want a rare poster like Jay Ryan's Fugazi poster. I promise you this will be needed if you want to make this a success
2. Will you add ISO and Trade sleeves (like eb.com)?
3. Searching for posters is becoming a royal pain in the ass on gigposters.com due to the limited search capabilities. Looking for a Kozik for the Melvins from 1994 takes too long. You need to sift through page upon page of bull to finally find it. A victim of your own success I guess but there is so many posters now on this site that the search function needs to be improved to make it practical to add a large collection on gigposters.com . So far EB is far superior when it comes to this and you will need to improve not only the search function, but also all the meta data bullshit to allow you for different searches (dimensions, edition, year, medium, etc.) AND you need some volunteers to have access to the database to clean up some of the bullshit. There is too much 'wrong' info and while I know you dont have time to sift through it, it just keeps getting worse. Get volunteers who can modify the data on posters, add meta data as they see fit and all that.
4. The way I could use a 'collection' feature is to catalog my shit and also add detailed info regarding the print. Not only is gigposters missing the important stuff (for me) like edition size, medium, size, dollar-data l like how much it was bought for, where it was bought from, and on and on.... but it also misses the functionality in the comments section of the collection... just adding a text blob is not helpful... I need something that I can query, sort and filter on... databases dude, not some text file
