I really think that there should be a lisiting in the designer's section for
"unknown".

That way you can find them and look at all of them and people can identify them so that they can be changed.

many great posters get lost here because no artist was identified.

An unknown catagory would be good but if someone did claim the poster would it still be in that catagory? We'd loose it anyway... wouldnt we?

In all honesty I think the Smithsonian or some other foundation with a full-time staff of coders and programmers should pay about a million dollars to Clay and take over the cataloging of the site. Then he can still be the head honcho, but they do all the work.

This is an 'ok' idea .. but the problem is .. about 50% of the posters on the site have no designer. So .. would you really want to browse through 25,000 posters to see if you know who designed one? I don't see how this is any different than just bumping into one on the randomizer .. or viewing by band. Same pain in the ass.

The real problem is, that when someone knows who designed it .. they post a comment .. instead of letting me know so I can fix it. I don't read all the comments on the site (I rarely read any - too busy). So if I am not told, its never going to get fixed.
