GP: Pay to play?

OK, so like, think of this as a poll thread - would you pay $3 a month to Clay to be a "cool kids" gigposter subscriber?

And to Clay: would that be feasible, or would the cost of collecting $3 from everybody's credit cards be too much to bother?

I don't want to collect a subscriber fee from anyone for nothing.

What I have planned on doing .. and still hope to do .. is code in a bunch of special features for an "Advanced Account" and charge a monthly or yearly fee or something.

Like .. a favorites list, notifications, special deals on stuff, etc.

I've also considered selling subdomains to designers. Example:

http://fnharsh.gigposters.com ... would go right to your designer page... perhaps have a nicer, better bio etc.

i"m just sayin', I'd be willing to go a few a month. I'll bet a lot of people would go $3-5 without a question.
