you guys have been goin after republicanism for ages, it's really just a matter of time till all the old bastards die aint it...
not fond of the union jack in the corner of the NZ flag; assume it's gonna be phased out eventually though...

Exactly. It's only people in their 70's and over that are holding it back. The other problem is that when we had the referendum a large number of republicans voted no because the model of government proposed was to have the senate vote a president in rather than it falling to the general public.
Kiwis would go with the silver fern I guess?

My girlfriend says that the All Blacks Symbol should be the New Zealand flag. The ole Silver Fern/Black background.
