Clay,
I was wondering about the possibility of getting deigners to include the dimensions with their poster info. Its hard to judge scale with these posters. I for one would like to have that info. any thoughts?

That sounds like a good idea -
I know this would probably be a big hassle, but it would be nice to also be able to search for posters from a particular geographic area - region or state at least.
Another thing that I'd like to see is information on how the poster was printed - Xerox, offset, screenprint, etc.
since we're asking clay to redesign his life:
i always thought "year" was a natural thing to have. puts the art in perspective as far as the artist's work goes, as well as the band's visual "evolution".
come on clay! start all over! everyone has to resubmit everything! gigposters2.com!
I think that in the submit part, just like where it ask for the venue name it should have size and printing method. Would that be that hard?
it's probably sorta easy to add stuff like that, i would guess. but then you have the bazillion posters already on here with none of that info. confusin!
It wouldn't be that hard to add. The problem is updating the 10,000 posters that are already up here. Thats why I suggested just posting it in the comments. Chances are .. we would only have this info for about 5% of all the posters.. so searching cababilities would be useless.
Its just too bad that people are using the comments to have a conversation resulting in 200 comments on a poster.![]()
If someone can help me out with an easy way to update all the old posters with this additional information.. please let me know. I don't think I can handle manually updating 10,000 posters..
I think it's fine how it is. I generally go into the
comment boards on all my stuff and talk about
the process of it anyway. I dont' see why it would
be so hard for everyone else to do the same.
Or...if you really wanna know.. PM the designer
or like... ask em on the comment board for
the piece how it was done. It's not that hard.
oh hold it I changed my mind. clay, go back
and do it all manually. And while you're at
it can you come to Baltimore and make me
dinner tonight? thanks. haha just kidding everyone.
shaddup nolen.
see you are so whishy washy... jesus! art students![]()
