    I want a machine for doing audio and video editing. Whats the best motherboard / processor etc?

    what are you going to run for an OS? XP doesn't use more than 3ish GB of RAM. Found that out the hard way. Holding out for Win7?

    Yeah I figure by the time im done building it should be released and HOPEFULLY it will be better than vista.

    Xeon Quad processor, lots of Ram, and at least a 10000 RPM Harddrive.
