Default Process Thread - It's over and gone now.

I forgot to take pictures half of the time and quarter of the time i needed both hands, but I still got a few shots.

Starting out, drawing trees, looking at colors:

    Seps printed:

Papers here, pack up the backpack, grab the board, skate crosstown.

    Paper cut to size:

WHOOOPS, forgot to take pictures of the whole first color

color done, time to separate the stack

tape off and register the screen

    Two sheets go under:

    Ta-da, black layer down:

Alright, heres the part where you guys get to chuckle a bit. I could have edited it out, but it describes me and screen printing pretty well. Something always goes a bit wrong.

The lab is GREAT in the summer. It doesn't have a super restricting class schedule like the regular school year, it isn't packed with 30 kids all trying to print tshirts or poorly optimizing space on the racks. Yep, it's pretty awesome. Fully stocked with TW inks:

The only things I have to supply for printing are paper, screens, and a $250 lab fee. A seriously killer deal.

And of course I'll trade for beer! Let's get some GP folks together and grab a few rounds.

Looks great. I'm not sure those registration marks are big enough though. Next time you should make them a solid 2" across.

Next time I'll skip the designing part and just print HUGE reg marks.

I'm not sure, they are nice and all, but holy hell can they squirt ink. It has ended up on my shirt, pants, floor, wall. Also, there is a drying rack right behind that where i watched as ink squirted out from the pump and right on to four, 12 color prints that a girl had JUST finished.

You've got to make sure you clear the tip of these dispensers before applying pressure. As they sit idle a fine skin develops in the hole and then explodes rather than dispensing.
