we are coming to the close of a yearly contract with Virgin here in my shared house (an ex housemate signed it) and I've been looking at several options for faster (unlimited) and maybe even cheaper broadband in my locality (Brighton UK)... ADSL2+ looks good
reading independent reviews on forums, I learnt that the advertised speeds may only apply if you live close to the ISP exchange...
however the frikkin bandit telecom co's seem to deem it too much information to share with their customers...
Major Australian cities have ISP EXCHANGE LOCATORS on a national site,
do you have one in your area? (I saw an LA one I think)
and, most importantly, is there one for mine?
Would be handy info for everyone - I have left this same question on web-boffin forums too - I'll post any useful links
(and so I know - whats the general consensus on where this sort of web thread gets posted here? - technique>digital or anything goes?)
