Default anyone have experience working with models?

we're doing a record cover that will be photo collage and are *hoping* to hire professional fashion models to pose.

    is this realistic?
has anyone worked with modeling agencies before?

if so , how much did you pay?

we'd need each girl for about an hour to an hour and a half.

is there any etiquette to follow when hiring a model? do you provide a rider for them?

We just did a shoot with Marissa Miller. This one:

VROOM VROOM! | With Leather - The sports blog that knows the definition of "debauchery"

It was ridiculous. That probably doesn't help you.

seriously, don't you know any attractive people? think it would be less of a hassle to find people you know than go through the trouble hire a bunch of professional models.

    seems kind of expensive!

    - you'll need model release forms (basically that you own the pics and can do what you want with them after they are taken - ie: you don't want a model/agency suing you because you put her face on a shirt later on), usually on-set insurance as well (in case the model is injured by a falling light or something) - sometimes the photographer studio will cover that...
    - depending on the agency... usually you cannot book by the hour... usually half or full day
    - if you can get one for that short of time you don't owe any rider
    - you will have to state if you have a stylist (do you want specific clothes for them to wear?) or that they should bring their own, also sizing if you do have a stylist
    - be prepared for attitude and models showing up late
    - You may be looking at headaches and $$$ depending on how many and what agency... you may think about finding some good looking people on the street

i have some friends that do pro modeling and they're not anymore sane or reliable than those who are not pro.

plus, "amateur" models are waaaaay less expensive.

we have release forms , a professional photographer , a makeup artists and hair dresser.
the shoots will be nude so no clothes needed.

we don't have insurance at the studio though. ):

we know some hot people but they are all punky looking. we want ULTRA glam VOGUE types girls. no tats , super tall , so perfect they are alien looking , flawless skin , no scars or stretch marks.

because the job is nude and because of the look we're going for , we thought it would be easier to go for pros.

that's called photoshop... most studios have post-production... nobody looks like that

Look into the insurance bit... we have always had to have it, but that is usually because of shooting TV and weird sets... you may want to ask the agency if it is required all the time

it may be easier to approach strippers for this kind of thing..
    uh.. I'm not joking here.
something to consider if the pro model angle is too problematic
