    Default cleaning off spray tack

my printing table is caked with spray tack, i noticed some pretty big chunks missing today before printing so i've been trying to get the rest of it off for an even surface. i've been at it for an hour and shit is not working. i am hand-sanding and scraping with a paint scraper, is there a better way to get this stuff off?

acetone. douse it and wait a couple of minutes. get a rough BBQ grill cleaning pad, and scrub away, repeat as needed. no easy way really. Just elbow grease. You could warm it up with something I guess. Might help. heat gun. Or screen opener.

didn't have acetone, so i thought i would try some mineral spirits before going to the store. worked like a charm, no elbow grease needed. came right off...good as new.

I just use some standard press wash. Takes it right off.

Goo-Gone is the stuff to use. Smells pretty good and works even better. Buy it in a large bottle.

mineral spirits worked immediately, i was just trying to rub it into the spray tack across the table and it was coming off right away. and i think cheaper than goo gone, which does smell good - my basement reeks of paint thinner now.

I just use standard plastisol ink cleaner. It works great......i just spray it on, and wait a minute or two for it to soak in. It literally comes off with one wipe.

pffft. i just use 409 or Fantastik, spray it down super well, get it juicy and then use a razor blade, it all comes up pretty quick in little wet lumps.

    easy peasy.
