Default Large transparencies in San Francisco?

I know there's a few SFers here -- I fear the vegetable oil, and have a poster that exceeds Kinko's 11x17 max.

Is there a good place in SF to get larger format transparencies?

can't help you with anything in SF, but if you'd eventually like to print your own from a wide-format inkjet printer, they've got some great films here:

Film Transparency, Film Inkjet Transparency, Screen Printing Film, Screen Printing Positive Film, Silk Transparency Film

they've got a bunch of sizes (rolls too). they only sell in bulk, so it's a bit pricey, but man it's great stuff, even with my shitty inkjet printer. again, maybe not what you're looking for now, but perhaps later on if you continue to print larger posters.

Last I knew, there was a place by the SFSPCA that did them (Folsom and 16th?).

Thanks all! I found another in addition to Hynes' mentioned H&H Imaging. It's called Dolphin Graphics, and prices appear roughly the same.

That said, I'm cheap, and intrigued by Steve W's idea. I'll look for a self-service OSE around here or work with one of the geniuses behind the counter....

Steve -- in an older thread, you mentioned transparency started smoking when you fed it through one printer. You've talked about using the pearl vellum too -- is that a better choice for, uh, non-smoking printing?

I'll be exposing it with a cheapo flood light setup, not a table, if that makes any diff.

Again, thanks peeps. You are an enormous resource.

5 mil duralar doesn't smoke, but if registration is super tight, go with the film.

I would stay away from the vellum with the humidity there.

    thanks man!

i'll see about the duralar, and maybe even overcome my vegetable oil fear -- seems like tons of people on the board use that to good effect, too.
