    Default Press/Clamp Help

I've just started using the AWT Screen Frame Clamps and I can't seem to get the registration nobs to tighten on the y axis, that is to say the two side nobs, they keep wobbling while frame is in.
I know a few of you have these things so any advice is well useful.

Just remembered I have a tinycam on my new laptop.
See how there are two holes under the knobs, one of them has a screw, the other is empty but has threads and I have no idea what goes in it.

That has me thinking, thing barely has threads to speak of. Are other models like this?

On the top picture, the top of the two screws (that needs an allen key) is to lock the micro registration to the horizontal bar (for left/right movement, or wider/thinner screens) . The second screw hole (closer to the screen clamp) needs a small thumbscrew, that locks the part in the bottom picture in place.

I use clamps like this too and have had all kinds of registration problems. I'm about ready to switch back to jiffy clamps. The thumb screws never seem to hold the micros tight enough and it shifts during printing. Makes me want to break things. What good is a vacuum table if your screen moves?

You need the thumbscrews in each of those holes. Its also best to replace the
thumbscrews with allen or star bolts so you can use a hand tool and really crank on them to tighten it. Most importantly you need some Loctite Threadlocker Blue or Green. The cams work fine its keeping them in place
that's the issue with that unit. Good luck.
