Big Star. What a great band.
They kinda occupy the same space as Television in my mind, in the way the guitar melodies grab onto my brain and don't let go.

One of my most tragic record geek stories:
An old roommate of mine left my original Stax pressing of Radio City leaning against a radiator, and melted it.

The Chris Bell solo effort "I am the Cosmos" is a little-known gem, if you can find it.
Crosshair pushing here until its limit the bringing together.

"it just seems like so little effort is put into creating this? am i missing something?"

Sorry I saw them in Atlanta a while back, quite frankly one of the lamest shows I have ever been to.

yeah, my vinyl of sister lovers/3rd is in the regular winter rotation.

seeing alex chilton now is a whole different experience than what you would expect big star to be. nowadays he does more of an obscure garage/r&b revival sort of thing. entertaining in its own way.

oh, and 'i am the cosmos' has been reissused by three men with beards records.

reunion/rehash shows generally are. I usually avoid them so as not to be disappointed in my heroes.

I got turned on to them by a friend about 5 years ago. I really need to go buy some of there CD's. This was the same guy that turned me on to Guided by Voices
