Default Printing colour onto base layer.

I have a print coming up that involves laying down a white base on chipboard, which will then have a fine detail black print on top. I'm worried that the black will bleed and spread on the white. I usually use housepaint, but can use inks. Should I knock the white out of the area that will be black or am I being paranoid?

I don't use house paint but I use chip boards and the chip board tends to absorb ink whereas overprinting on top of white will prevent it from seeping into the chip board

Awesome, Thanks for the info. I'm sure it's in the threads somewhere but I couldn't find the proper term to search for it.

This is good advice. You might have to print the white a couple times. Whatever you do, do not knockout the lines. Also get some INK for the lines. Come on already. Make your life easy.

i use black house paint mixed generously with some speedball black. I never have had a problem printing black line art over other colors, which are usually paint/ink mixed as well.
