Default Has anybody seen these before???

I recently received a bunch of these re-tension frames but I have never seen anything like them. The owner of them had passed away and his wife didn't seem to know anything about them. I would like to put new mesh on all of them, but I have no idea how to use them or what kind of wrench is needed. It looks like it is as easy as an allen wrench but I can't see down inside the holes too well. I cannot seem to find any manufacturer info on them either.

All I know is those plastic strip lock in the mesh. Shouldn't be that hard to figure out. Try wetting your screen before stretching it helps sometimes.

Made in Pittsburg, KS. My university had all their screenprinting supplies donated by HIX and my buddy used to be a sales rep for them. Never used the Reten frames, but everything that I have used from them has been pretty good quality.

Crank them in before you start. you might want to put a drop of oil on the allen screw.

slack the corners a bit after you get the mesh in, otherwise they will rip first as the expand.
do a bit on each side, same amount of turns as you go round.

they are nice because unlike the stupid fucking t-shirt ones i have with only 1 square bar, you can rotate those puppies in the your clamps.

    good score!

Thanks for the advice. Hopefully I will get some pics up of the other gear I scored in this deal. The screens were just icing on the cake!
