    Default Indesign problem

Ok, let me try to explain what has happened, I usually paste vector elements into Indesign from Illustrator, because I need to be able to change the colors of the elemets on the fly, So last week we got new computers, and all of a sudden, when you paste it into Indesign from Illustrator, it places it in for you, its not editable vector, its like a placed jpeg. Annoying! What happened?

What changed on my end was, we got new g5ís Intel based, so I did the whole transfering files from my old mac to my new mac (which was PowerPC) I am using CS3, have all of the updates installed, etc...

Also noticed I used to be able to paste things from indesign into illustrator. Cant do it anymore.

I didnít change anything in system preference sine the transfer, should I?

    Anyone else have these issues?

Check in preferences in both IL and ID for file handling.

yeah it must be a preference thing because you can still do copy and paste to and from each of those into the other.
