    Default Nuarc FT40 platemaker

    anyone ever used one for exposing silk screens? I did a search and didn't find any specific info . . .

    those are for exposing metal offset/litho plates.

    You might be able to use it but you'll have to replace the glass with a rubber blanket. Call Douthitt and ask about a conversion.

    here's the specs for a fliptop 40 model:
    NuArc :: FlipTop :: Details

    the problem you would have is the lid is built for plates not for a large frame.

    that's what I figured . . thanks for the info, it's part of a bunch of equipment I am buying and the guy wants me to take it since he has no use for it.

    i'd say take it, and start doing some litho prints. or try finagling the lid to fit a silkscreen.
