    Default print on dvd

    Hello,

I was wondering, How do you print on DVD/CDs. Do you need a special jig? or simply place it on a soft surface ?

    thanks

We've used the middle clingy part of a CD case before for a 1 colour jig.

Andymac must be tired. "Search the threads" is usually my line. WB works on the on coated to print ink jet. Non-coated works best with UV, but you prolly could use enamel or vinyl inks. I did a limited edition DVD for Matthew Barney, we set up a jig that was triangular and the same thickness of the dvd. We also used a sharpe tick mark on the dvd that coresponded to a tick mark on the jig. UV colors look different on CDs than DVDs so you can't spot match on one then switch to the other with shifting in colors.

250/hr by hand. vacuum from house vac. small flaps on the bottom of the two hinged screen holders open and close the suction when the screen goes up and down.

It's actually fun to print with this. lay the discs out on clean newsprint on the racks to dry.

    printed through 305 mesh

Now go read the other threads, because you might want to see how to do it without the minipress. or I'll sell you one...
