Default Newsletter - I need some help!

I have been so busy lately.. that I haven't sent out a newsletter in a LONG time.. months! The problem is.. I'm so swamped, that I keep forgetting.. and whenever I do remember.. I have nothing ready to send out.

I am looking for some volunteers to do the following:

    - interview artists
    - write or share poster-related information that would be relevant in a newsletter
    - organize and write-up upcoming poster shows / galleries / events
    - summerize what is happening on the site and coming soon

This is a volunteer thing.. sorry .. but I can't really pay. I just need some help. Please let me know if you are interested.

Also.. if you have any more ideas what might make the newsletter better, or anything you would like to see, please post your ideas.

I'd do an interview, but I could never be as witty and handsome as Tom.
And what would I say? "I wake up, drive 35 minutes to work, sit on Gigposters.com all day, drive home, sit on Gigposters.com all night..."

I'll do one of them hard hitting interviews with myself.

None of you would know what questions to really ask me anyways.

Hey Clay maybe do a profile of a different artist each month (or however often you do the newsletter) Not so much an interview but a quick little background on each artist, y'know...Likes, dislikes, influences, favorite things, studio info, blah,blah,blah...something short and sweet, one page. You could pick an artist, have a "questionaire" ready to go, they fill it out and you post it, blamo, makes your life a little easier, gives evryone on here ammunition to make fun of the artist in question, everyone's happy. Just a thought.

I already asked you the one question I had for you Richie...

"Got anymore of those Melvins posters"...I didn't like your answer so I'm done with you.

One could interview the artist that has the featured poster of the week... or do a combo of all four at the end of each month... short paragraph ea talking about their piece?

I'd be willing to make time to coordiate that if there is a genuine interest in participating.

edit -- I just read Jephs idea... combo of the two?

    Newsletter? Oh shit.

We're gonna need to hire a desktop publisher or at least someone who still has PageMaker.

i would love to write the news letter.
    i have a million questions.

    what makes you cry?
which artist do you steal from the most?
what do you do with your toenail clippings?
    are you gay?
jermaine rogers, man, or astro man?
    do you sniff your farts?
    pronounce Grzeca.
if you could be a dog, what breed would you be?
when your art career fails, what profession do you hope to stumble into?
    what's your opinion of seripop?
is that your head, or did your neck throw up?
what medication are you on right now?
    do you like corndogs?
if you're driving in a car going thirty-five miles an hour, and your destination is twenty miles away, how long will it take you?
    have you ever killed anyone?
    how do you spell relief?
do you still love god in spite of what he did to you?
    what's your favorite movie?
    toilet paper, fold, or bunch?
did you ever walk in on your parents while they were having sex?
what's the square root of 936?
there's a bus leaving in ten minutes, can you be under it?
if you could hit one person in the face with a banana cream pie, who would it be?
    what's your IQ?
do you really draw with your feet?
if you could have sex with any of the artists on Gigposters, who would you choose?
does the carpet match the drapes?
if you could break the fingers of any artist, who would it be?
how much do you think kozik weighs?
are you really as untalented as you seem?
    try pronouncing Grzeca again.
how many beans are in this here jar?

that's just the tip of the iceberg
