    Default New Feature: BritePic (testing)

I'm testing out a new feature for images on the site.

Currently I have activated it for all images posted in the forums. (using IMG tags).

It allows many new features including:

    Email this image
    Link to this image
    Embed this image
    Zoom in and out
Captions that slide out when you hover over the pic
    Subscribe to RSS
    Rate this image (coming soon)
    View gallery (coming soon)
    Discuss this image (coming soon)
Accessibility features for visually impaired (coming soon)
    And more…

(I'm not sure what the RSS feature does yet - but i'll figure it out soon. I think it will allow people to subscribe to a new image feed of some sort)

BritePic is a tool from AdBrite (the company I use for text ads on the site). This is a new tool from them .. but basically, unintrusive ads should start appearing in the title bar above the image .. and when clicked - Gigposters.com will make a little money.

It should be good .. but as always - I have no idea what browsers it will work in .. does it work on macs?

Please let me know your thoughts.

If it all works out well, I will consider putting it on the large poster images in the future.

Works for me, I'm on a MacBook Pro, OSX 10.4.9 using Safari.

    That's pretty cool.

    That is kind of awesome.

If you add it to the posters then Art Directors all over the world can simply email the images to their designers and say "make it look like this!"

Works well for me too. Cool feature. It would be really great to have a zoom feature on the posters. Would we be able to upload larger poster files?

neat. I'm using an older version of Safari, 1.3.2 and it works fine.
