    ? I use red loctite gel on the vital stuff plus lockwashers plus nylon lined locknuts.

    teflon tape or gel on fluid fittings etc.

    all of them can be forced. red is stronger than blue.

    the strongest loc tite you want to use is red 272 which 'breaks' anywhere from 160-225 ft lbs of torque. now..nothing needs to be any stronger than that. 200 lbs of torque is enough to say, bolt a flywheel to a motor.

    272 will meet any normal needs as far as bikes, street cars etc. if your building an airplane, or a top fuel dragster, you should be safety wiring your fasteners anyway.

    on a very large surface area fastener, yes you will probably have to use a breaker bar, but theres no need to ' melt it off'.
