Default Thoughts On My First Poster(s)?

Here are the two posters I designed for This Wild Life's two upcoming headlining dates. I might add a little more but I just wanted to see what people thought.

    * The flipped building & sky is lazy and very noticeable.

    * The clean vector building style doesn't jibe very well with the halftoned building.

    * the arms of both people seem stiff and a little too short.

    * The split poster gimmick is... a gimmick.

    * The overall layout is weak. Each poster, viewed individually, looks even weaker. Read about grids.

    * These posters are not bad, but they're a bit dull, so I assume that the band's music is also a bit dull. If that describes them, then maybe this is okay. If not, then you're misrepresenting your client.

I was just going to say that the poster on the left will make no sense on it's own without it's own paper plane, but now that standard has pointed out all this other stuff. My comment is weak. Weak is comment my.

Thanks for the constructive criticism. I'll definitely take note of all the things you listed and apply them to the posters.

Try sketching things out first. It looks like you used different elements you got from the internet
