that would be great if someone wanted to step up and get internet access in their booth for paypal use only, but...

    1) it'll be a mess. someone will justt want to check someone's website for a minute, which will lead to showing off their own site, which will lead to the computer freezing, all while people line up and aren't even able to look at the postters displayed in the booth in front of them.
    2) how do you make back your $400 investment
    3) api board has discussed it and has no interest in messing with this.
    4) it'll be a mess
    5) if someone's that ready to buy, i'm sure there'll be cash machines around.

Yep Jay, you are absolutely right. I thought that after I posted the topic. (Hmmm 68 poster artists , one computer....ewwwwwww.)

    Bad idea.

But I do like the idea of everybody wearing clown suits.

You can take credit cards if you have a merchant account like we do and just do voice auth. and then run the transactions when you return home.

However, it is a HUGE PITA at shows and requires the use of a GOOD cell phone.

    My suggestion:
Organize yourselves into groups here and there, and split the costs.
Justin, EMEK and I are doing this. The 135 bucks each we will chip in (for a total of 400.00) will be well worth the expense.
I knowingly turned away about 1500.00 worth of purchases over the 2 days of FS1, because I had no way of taking credit cards.
    THINK-
There will be visitors, music people, industry people and 'fans' from all over the world browsing your tables. 90% of them will be living on credit cards. What do YOU do when youre on 'vacation'.

    Hook yoursleves up...
