    Default how many pixels are in an 1/8 of an inch?

    anyone?

    i have a weird shape in .psd, i need to add a 1/8" border around it.

    any help?

    take your dpi and divide it by 8?

    am i misunderstanding the question?

    what is your DPI? If it is 72 DPI (dots per inch) the 1/8 of and inch contains 9 pixels.

    simple math

    i actually never had to do this conversion stuff before...

    im working in 300dpi.
    i need a 1/8"inch stroke.

    so that should be 33.

    hmm, I believe a 1/4" line is 75 pixels, so therefore an 1/8" should be 1/2 of that at 37.5 pixels. I got C's in math though.

    It should be 1/4, so it equals one eighth on each side.

    With the center as the holding point, add 75 pixels to the canvas size of your image length, and 75 pixels to your image width.
