Captain, do you have MP3s of the new album Source Tags & Codes? I haven't seen the record anywhere in Canada yet and I'm impatient.

Yeah. Glad it was free 'cos I wasn't impressed. I agree with the guy who said they sound like Sonic Youth. Maybe the new album is better.

One year they came through the Entry, tore the drum kit up and hurled the heavy hardware at the audience, missing a friend of mine's head by an inch. Saw them at a house party later and they mentioned that they had actually just broken the amps & drums of a local band who were probably excited to have opened for them, because they'd wrecked their own equipment a few shows back. They seemed to think this was really funny.

Fratboys with shag haircuts and no songs.

    I beg to differ
At first listen they're just noisy- but given a chance, Source Tags & Codes is a great recording. They're also one of the best live acts around. They opened for QOTSA in Austin & that show was voted best local road show in 2002.

You're friend should have just ducked. I'm sure their label took care of whatever equipment was broken, so someone got a new drum kit. You want safe, either stay out of the front of the crowd or stick to Neil Diamond gigs.

Neil Diamond killed a man just to watch him die -- or was that Will Ferrel?

OK, so maybe a Neil Diamond gig isn't so safe after all
