What's a good mesh for doing halftones on posters?

    40. I tried 45lpi with a screen mesh of 230. It didn't seem to work real well.

What didn't work? What was the problem. 45lpi should be fine on any mesh above 156...though a 200 mesh screen has a slight possibility for creating moire. Since you didn't use a 200...what's the problem?

the dot should be at least twice the size of the mesh
ie 100 pt halftone for a 200 mesh
lose screens or ad-hoc printing setups
would call for an even larger dot
