    Default The Police

Man .. The Police - Greatest Hits .. cranked .. sounds real good. They had some serious talent.

What happened to Sting tho? .. went straight downhill solo..

I see it as more of a gradual curve downhill... At one point I liked his earlier solo stuff even though i realized it was too-slick adult contemporary poo. But obviously one could say the same about "Wrapped Around Your Finger".

Hell of as bass player either way.

You should totally get the Police albums or the boxset. I listened to that boxset nonstop all through 1995.

The hits compilation is a fave but I picked up (finally) the full Syncronicity album this past summer and it blows the hits collection away for me -- Syncro and Syncro II are just great songs plus Tea In the Sahara, Walking In Your Footsteps, Miss Gradenko, Murder By Numbers. That album's just full of great songs. Still need to get the others and/or the box set at some point though.

The Police Rock!!!! One of my favorite bands in the day.

Synchro 2 is an awesome rocker. It was the first song to grab me on that rekkid. After all the endless radio airplay of all the hit singles, I find my faves on the album now are Oh My God and Miss Gradenko. Synchro 2 is still awesome.....but I find it tough to even listen to Wrapped Around Your Finger or King of Pain.

Ghost in the Machine might be my favorite album of all...but there's no match for all the reggae and ska driven tunes of the first few albums.
