Default Poster Class 14 - Alf Alpha Tour Poster

    Budget: High – 4 screens

Special Techniques: Glow in the dark ink

    Size:
    Up to 20x36 Max Size

Style: Symmetrical is preferred but not mandatory

Required Items: A Space to write the dates and venue in

    Venue: Various

    Date and Time: Various

    Ticket Price: Various

Artist(s): Headliners- Alf Alpha (Math Rock)

Follow up acts- Albino Blackhead ( Rock)

Ive spoken with the client(s) and this is what they want:

Dale is the tour manager for Alf Alpha. Hes booked them along with Albino Blackhead for a 14 date tour in CA and NV. Both groups do shows with fairly elaborate stage setups. Alf Alpha is known for their Mayan temple set. Dale wants one poster for the whole tour that has a space to write the name of the club in. As much as I tried to talk him into doing other posters he refused and said. “Just make one cool one…. with glow in the dark stuff” He also likes things that are even and symmetrical but as long as it looks good this doesn’t have to be done.

    GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN!!!

If anything in this assignment offends anyone please feel free to PM me as soon as possible so I can make changes before submissions start.

So is this guy a Mesoamerican culture queen? Aztec stuff is way raddder than the Mayan, what with all the human sacrifice and whatnot.....

I thought the metal thing was hard, not being very metal at all.....the hell is math rock, anyway? I heard someone call Weezer MR but that's just silly....

    For this assignment anyway

    Math Rock:

Take the intricacy and complexity of classic weirdo hard rock bands like Rush and Voivod, then add some of punk's hyperspasmodic schizophrenia, and you'll have a legitimate math rock contender. Math rock bands take pleasure in being erratic and unpredictable, often experimenting with peculiar tempos and jazz-derived rhythms while keeping the rock hard and aggressive all the while. Their lyrics tend to be as cerebral and expertly designed as their songs. These bands are rock's architects of the future, recrafting and reinventing the genre's tired song structures.
