Default New Feature - Gigposters.com Radio!

I had to take a break from all the stress of re-building the site .. and add something FUN!

The link to the radio is currently at the bottom of all non-forum pages .. I'm sure I'll change this at some point .. I just threw it there for now.

Anyways .. the radio requires Windows Media Player 9 or 10 .. and some stations appear to not play on Mac computers. I'll do my best to figure out why shortly.

    THIS IS AN OPEN CALL!

*PLEASE SUGGEST ONLINE STREAMING RADIO STATIONS IN THIS THREAD.

*Please post links to where I can find the stream (asx, mp3, rm, whatever)

*Please also provide the Station Name, description and genre.

    Rock on!

http://www.wefunkradio.com/ We Funk Radio - funk, hip-hop, rappity, goodness. the only thing is that they have shows as streaming mp3s, not a live stream. is that usable for this radio feature?

http://www.kcrwmusic.com/ KCRW - santa monica college radio with a lot of decent live guests.

http://www.electronic-music.net/music.php this is a nice listing of british electronic streaming stations, not just one.

http://www.wrct.org/ carnegie mellon university's radio station, they use some funky open code thing called Ogg Vorbis to stream ( http://www.vorbis.com/ )

http://www.boombasticradio.com/ boombastic radio, live streaming old skool.

that "listen now" link is bunk for sure.
there should be a player control on the knon.org homepage, top right.
that's where i got the link above from, and tested it, by clicking their play button and previewing this post and it opened my media player.
