Thread: transparency

    so tomorrow i'm printing this poster that has a venn diagram thing in it, where 3 transparent colors overlap. i've got speedball acrylic inks, how much extender base to i need to add to them to get them to be all nice and transparent?

    none. use transparent base instead.

    hah that would make sense.

    i think i'm stuck with whatever the local art store has, and i think all they have is extender base.

    Some colors are more transparent than others.
    The process colors should work well.
    The extender base will work in a 50/50 ratio.
    Try a test print and dry with a hair dryer.

    I tried the extender and my squeegee grew 4 inches!

    speaking of that kinda stuff im using nazdars to print is that gloss coating varnish they sell like to put on the poster after to protect it and does any body put any kinda protect tive coating over their prints when there done
