    Default Screenprinting, how to

Ok, does anybody recommend a website where the process of screenprinting is demontrated ie, through step-by-step instructions with pictures? I've always wanted to try an at-home approach to it, being that I'm new to the process...ok I really don't know nothing about doing it. Any feedback is appreciated. axo3.

i bet you'd get lots of answers if you ask specific questions.

a lot of "how to" questions are answered in the technical forums.

Not exactly, more like I want a hands on approach where I don't have to use someone else's shit. Because I'm new to the process, I don't even know where to start. As for a specific question: what materials are needed? I've done prints onto paper using a press, but that's a whole other game.

try calling up a local screenprinter and see if they will help you out. as long as they don't see you as a threat and they are kind enough, you may get lucky and get some real working info.

call around to some shops. tell them you're just starting out and want to know if they'd be willing to trade their experience for your (free) assistance for a few days.
or, i mean, go to ebay and get one of the many 'how to screen print' videos they have. or andymac's tutorial www.squeegeville.com

anything, smart ass....Maybe i'll get a summer job, another one.
In this day of digital madness, it's up to the poster artist to carry on the legacy and method of the silkscreen. I must do my duty to preserve the past. (que inspirational music now)
