    Default Good screen printing guide?

Could anyone kindly suggest me a really good introduction guide/book thing to screen printing on a small scale. I'm desperate to branch out from Xerox and computer printed posters. And is it possible to do pretty cheaply?

    Cheers.

Can you read sanskrit? The best guide I ever read on this was written entirely in sanskrit.

You can go as cheap or as expensive as you want!

Andy at Squeegeeville has a book or guide I believe.

Here is a cool pdf by some great cartoonists that teach you about xerography, silkscreening, scanning, and offset printing from an artists point of view:

    by
    Jordan Crane
    David Choe
    Brian Ralph
    Ron Rege Jr.

The scanning tutorial will give you the best lineart scans from home equipment hands down.

    Andymac is an awesome guy.
For a nominal fee, he can hook you up with all you need to know about screenprinting.

To get started really cheap at home:

    Hinge Clamps $20
    A Screen $20 +
    A good emulsion $20 +
    Exposure bulbs $60 +
Washout chemicals and emulsion remover $25
Scoop coater $15 (but you could use a squeegie or cardboard if you wanted, but you'll waste expensive emulsion)
    Squeegie $20
    Tape $6
Oiled positive $2.00 per color per print

    That's around $200.

Then you pay for paper and ink or paint.
