    Default Screen Mesh and Ink

So I'm reletively new to screen printing and have been lurking around this forum for quite a long time.

    Here are my ?'s:

I plan on using Nazdar 5500 ink with 100lb mr. french durotone paper. The graphics I'll be making are pretty detailed with some tiny text. I've been told that the mesh count depends entirely on the type of ink that I'll be using. So given that... What mesh count do you suppose I should get.

Also, what do you recomend as far as ink and paper for top quality prints that will last.

    Thanks ahead of time.

"pretty detailed" and "tiny text" are pretty vague.
    200-230 should be good.

    Sorry...

At times the text will be 1/3 of an inch.

I'd say 200 should work, but wait for a second opinion
from someone who uses that ink.

    I didn't know that was a factor.

I would say it would be fine also with a 200 mesh. If the text is a reversal then you may want to think about bumping it up to a 255 or 305
