Default screen / tape residue / removal ?

So I was wondering if there is any kind of something out there that will remove the sticky residue that is left behind on your screen from tape when you are trying to reclaim it. I'm thinking rubber cement remover might not be that great of an idea, and I don't want to ruin the screen. Any suggestions on what to use? Will rubber cement remover work without damaging the screen? thanks in advance.

    Geez, I don't know.
    Paint thinner?
    Acetone?
If it's only around the edges, it shouldn't be a huge problem.

goo gone? it works really well for generally removing old gummy adhesive residue from things. I'm not sure how it would work on screens, but it's probably good enough. also, it tends to leave an oily film, so you might want to degrease the screen after applying.
